Science on Stage Bulgaria
Science on Stage Bulgaria is organised by an elected committee from the National unions of Scientists, Physicists, Chemists and Biologists. The Ministry of Education and Science in Bulgaria is co-organiser of the initiative.
Every two years Science on Stage Bulgaria organises a national Science on Stage festival with the main aim to provoke and support the interest of young people towards the whole cycle of STEM subjects as a main region of human’s knowledge and future career. The festivals are organised like competitions between teachers presenting projects together with a team of pupils. The best presentations are proposed for participation in the following European Science on Stage festival.
Participating teachers can benefit from a fruitful connection and cooperation in the scientific community. It is created through the evaluation of projects by a national jury of teachers, university professors and scientists.
The national Science on Stage festival 2016 in Bulgaria took place from 28 to 30 October 2016 at Sevlievo. At the event, the selection of the Bulgarian delegation for the European Science on Stage festival 2017 in Debrecen, Hungary was chosen.
For further information about the event, please contact the Bulgarian NSC.
From 7-10 April 2016 the annual 44. National Conference on Physics Education of the Union of Physicist in Bulgaria took place at the astronomical observatory of Yambol. Science on Stage Bulgaria participated and presented the Science on Stage network and the idea of the European festival to a broad audience of teachers and representatives of other professional unions such as the Union of Chemists, Biologists and Matematicians in Bulgaria. Also shown were follow-up workshops of Science on Stage Bulgaria with former Bulgarian and Greek delegates that presented their teaching projects of the Science on Stage festival 2015 in London.
