Webinar: Save our nature - Let's explore together!
How can you use science experiments to teach about sustainability in primary school? How can you explain climate change – and what do water and ice have to do with it?
Our new teaching material for primary teachers will provide learning videos and additional resources about nature, environmental protection and sustainability. Why videos? They offer many opportunities for differentiated instructions in the classroom. The experiment videos in the material encourage inquiry-based learning, and the explanatory videos illustrate the science behind the phenomena.
Join our webinar to get a sneak peek into our upcoming teaching material! Jane Shimizu and Rute Oliveira, authors of the material, will show you their favourite experiments and tell you how you can implement them in your classroom. Get ready to handle ice cubes, to drop items in water, and to make measurements.
Please be aware of your time zone, the webinar is at 18:00-19:00 CET (Berlin time).
Jane Shimizu lives in Galway, Ireland, and teaches in a junior primary school with students aged 4-8. She is one of the authors of the upcoming teaching material "Save our nature - Let's explore toghether".
Rute Oliveira is from Lagoa, Portugal. She teaches chemistry and physics to students of all ages and is one of the authors of the upcoming teaching material "Save our nature - Let's explore together".
