20,000 Leagues under the sea at the First Iberoamercian Congress of Teachers

From 6-8 December 2018 the First Iberoamerican Congress of Teachers took place at the Algeciras Polytechnic School, University of Cadiz. The Spanish-Portuguese Science on Stage teacher team of Palma Garcia Hormigo, Ana Villaescusa and Liliana Fernandez was invited to present its #SonS2017 joint project 20,000 Leagues under the sea on site.

The congress brought together more than 1100 teachers - virtual and face-to-face. 550 of the participants from 21 Ibero-American countries, Italy, USA and Belgium traveld to the Spanish city Cadiz to join the event in person. The main objective of the congress was to unite, to join forces, and work as a team, to jointly devolpe and publish projects, activities, and didactic experiences such as the '20,000 Leagues under the sea' joint project.

Palma Garcia Hormigo, Ana Villaescusa and Liliana Fernandez appreciated the experience at the First Iberoamerican Congress of Teachers. They are already further developing their project, adding new activities, which follow the wake of the Nautilus hand in hand with the work of Jules Verne.
