Portuguese Science on Stage festival 2019

The Portuguese Science on Stage festival, the selection event for #SonS2019, took place from 19-20 January 2019, at Carcavelos Secondary School.

The opening session, led by Isabel Borges (NSC Science on Stage Portugal) and Rosa Doran (Chair of NUCLIO), had as special guests the Director of Carcavelos Secondary School, Dr Adelino Calado, and the Municipal Director of Cascais, Dr Miguel Arrobas. At the end of the session, fellow teachers from Spain presented a stage performance.

We had two very intense days, sharing and exchanging ideas, concepts and experiences in an environment of great conviviality.

The projects presented surpassed all expectations, revealing the great commitment and dedication of the teachers who followed the most innovative methodologies in an inquiry-based and, in many cases, interdisciplinary approach.

The jury of the national festival visited all the stands of the fair to get to know each project in detail, finding works of great creativity.

In the closing session, magic and songs took the stage.

Our teachers are fantastic! Congratulations to all the participants! We are waiting for you all on 31 October for the European Science on Stage festival, in Cascais!
