Science on Stage Spain
Since the year 2000, Science on Stage Spain is organised in ‘Ciencia en Acción’. It is primarily intended to recognise the work of Spanish STEM teachers of all levels of education, professional social media and staff of the Museum of Science and scientific communication centers.
The main objective of Ciencia en Acción is to reward the drive, achievement and consistent work of thousands of teachers who are aware that future generations are in their hands. There are 15 different categories to present all projects received in each annual event. Besides the national festival, Science on Stage Spain organises training courses, awards prizes in “Cercle de Economia”, and organises lectures and round tables.
The Spanish Royal Society of Physics (RSEF), the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (ICMAT), the Geological Society of Spain (SGE) and the National University of Distance Education (UNED) support ‘Ciencia en Acción’ in collaboration with the National Research Council (CSIC). The Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), assist in financing the “Ciencia en Acción” programme.
