First TED Global STEM Conference

On the 5th of November, the first virtual TED STEM conference will take place between 5 pm and 7 pm CET (Berlin time). STEM teachers from all over the world are invited to join, exchange experiences, and find partners for potential collaborations. 

The conference will begin with five short keynotes, including two by Science on Stage Europe ambassadors: 

  • Thomas Leisten from Glastonbury, CT USA will be speaking about creating student collaboration in the classroom
  • Dr. Michael Tissenbaum from the University of Illinois will speak about the benefits of STEM collaborations
  • Nuria Muñoz from Cadiz, Spain will be sharing her experience of including the UN sustainable development goals in lessons
  • Marco Nicolini from Modena, Italy will be presenting his experiences with doing collaborations and
  • Dr. Janice Gobert representing INQ-ITS labs will be sharing information about their platform and potential for use with collaborations

Afterward, there will be break-out rooms so that the listeners have the chance to meet with the keynote speakers that they want to learn more from. Finally, there will be time to meet other teachers who are interested in developing classroom collaborations together.
