Lithuanian teachers visit their Latvian Science on Stage colleagues

On the 22nd of April, Science on Stage Latvia hosted Lithuanian Science on Stage teachers in the city of Jelgava. The visit was a great possibility to share experiences on how to promote interest in STEM, organise support activities to teachers and national Science on Stage competitions.

The guests were introduced to the technical innovation program of Jelgava Technology Secondary School in the field of IT and engineering. ZRKAC acquainted them with the support they provide to teachers and the programs of the Jelgava municipality for learning STEM subjects, as well as events for broader public education in the field of STEM (Green Week, Researcher’s Night, the Technology and Innovation festival "Mechatrons"). In the afternoon, the teachers visited Junda, a creativity centre for young people, where they got acquainted with the offer of interesting education programs that complement the skills learned at school.
