Science on Stage at New Perspective in Science Education (NPSE) 2025: Empowering Teachers, Inspiring Change

From 19–21 March, educators from around the world gathered in Florence and online to share new ideas and shape the future of science education.
We are proud that our paper, "Teachers Empowering Teachers: Transforming Science Education through Peer-Led Training", was selected by the international scientific committee for presentation. A big thank you to the organisers, the Scientific Committee, moderators, and all participants.
At the conference, Stefanie Schlunk, chair Science on Stage Europe, presented the approach. We showcased how Science on Stage Europe empowers educators through peer-led professional development. Our "from teachers for teachers" model promotes creativity, interdisciplinarity, and real-world classroom application, helping teachers integrate new themes like AI, inclusion, and sustainability.
At the conference we highlighted how peer-to-peer learning

  • builds a vibrant, supportive network of educators across 35 countries,
  • boosts teacher motivation, job satisfaction, and classroom engagement.
