Science on Stage in the USA

Paul Nugent, our Executive Board member and Co-chair of the Irish National Steering Committee, was invited to attend and present at the recent Physics of Living Systems Teacher Network (PoLS-T) -Summer Workshop: Using Physics Education Research to Improve High School Physics.

The research group is led by Prof. Eric Mazur who has championed such strategies as Peer Instruction and The Flipped Classroom.

This took place at Harvard University Boston from July 12th to 14th 2022

Pauls’s workshop was entitled “Science on Stage Europe- from Teachers to Teachers”. This outlined our network including our activities and resources. He also performed some magic experiments from the webinars and the workshop he facilitated at the European Science on Stage Festival in Prague.
