Artificial Intelligence in Modern Education – Professional Training for Teachers
An internal professional training session for teachers was held at ITHS, focusing on the use of artificial intelligence in lesson preparation and planning.
During the training, teachers were introduced to practical guidelines for the responsible, effective, and pedagogically appropriate use of AI tools in their daily work, as well as recommendations for their implementation in accordance with current guidelines and personal data protection regulations.
Special emphasis was placed on the role of teachers in the educational process. Artificial intelligence can be a valuable tool that facilitates and accelerates the preparation of high-quality teaching materials, but it cannot replace the expertise, experience, and pedagogical judgment of teachers.
Through practical examples, teachers had the opportunity to learn how to formulate effective prompts for AI tools, create differentiated tasks, prepare assessment rubrics, design activities adapted to different levels of students’ knowledge, and plan lessons more efficiently.
Particular attention was paid to personal data protection, verifying the accuracy of AI-generated content, and recognising situations in which the use of artificial intelligence is not appropriate, especially when it comes to making decisions concerning students.
These professional training sessions are part of the continuous professional development of ITHS teachers and represent an important step towards following contemporary educational trends and responsibly integrating new technologies into the teaching process.
By developing teachers’ digital competencies, ITHS continues to enhance the quality of education and prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the modern digital age.
