The European Science on Stage festival 2026

The 14th European Science on Stage Festival once again demonstrated the power of creativity, collaboration, and passion in STEAM education. Held in Klaipėda, Lithuania, between the 28th and 31st of May 2026, the festival brought together hundreds of dedicated educators from across Europe to exchange ideas, showcase innovative teaching practices, and celebrate excellence in science education. The official opening was marked by the presence of the President of Lithuania and the Lithuanian Minister of Education, underlining the importance of the event for the future of education.

Over the course of the event, teachers from 34 countries presented hands-on projects designed to make STEAM lessons more engaging and accessible for students of all ages. The festival offered a dynamic program, all centered around one goal: inspiring colleagues and learning from each other. 

One of the highlights of the festival was the vibrant fair, where participants shared creative classroom approaches ranging from experimental physics demonstrations to interdisciplinary sustainability projects. You can learn more about the presented projects here. 

In addition to the project showcases, the festival featured interactive workshops and highlight sessions that encouraged educators to exchange knowledge and develop new skills. These sessions fostered a spirit of collaboration, enabling participants to learn from one another and build lasting international networks.

On Saturday, external visitors had the opportunity to experience the festival firsthand during the open day of the festival, reinforcing the festival’s emphasis on practical, student-centered learning.

Beyond the formal program, the European Science on Stage Festival created a strong sense of community among participants. Teachers shared not only their professional expertise but also their enthusiasm and dedication, highlighting the crucial role educators play in shaping future generations.

The event once again proved that when passionate educators come together, the results can be both inspiring and transformative.
