Exploring robotics in education: workshop in Belgrade
On 16 April, a robotics workshop was held at the Srednja škola za informacione tehnologije in Belgrade, Serbia, bringing together 29 teachers for a day of hands-on learning and exchange.
A special focus of the workshop was the presentation of innovative solutions, among which the smart car and the robotic arm stood out. Through practical demonstrations and interactive activities, teachers gained insight into the possibilities of applying these technologies in the classroom, with the aim of encouraging students’ interest in STEM fields.
The workshop took place in a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere, with active participation from all attendees, once again confirming the importance of continuous professional development in the field of new technologies. Participants had the opportunity to engage actively through hands-on tasks and teamwork. The importance of connecting theoretical knowledge with real-life applications was particularly emphasised. Teachers exchanged experiences and examples of good practice from their classrooms. The discussion also focused on the challenges they face when introducing new technologies into teaching.
Overall, the workshop highlighted the strong potential of robotics to foster students’ critical thinking, creativity, and interdisciplinary learning.
