The North Macedonian delegation for SonS 2026
On 15 November 2025, Science on Stage North Macedonia successfully organised its National Festival in Tetovo, bringing together dedicated STEM teachers and enthusiastic students from schools across the country. The event provided a vibrant platform for showcasing innovative teaching ideas, exchanging best practices, and strengthening the national STEM educator community.
This year’s festival featured a diverse range of creative and practice-oriented projects, reflecting the commitment of teachers to make science more engaging, accessible, and relevant for their students. Participants presented interdisciplinary activities combining science, technology, engineering and mathematics with real-world applications, environmental topics, coding, digital tools, and hands-on experimentation.
Following the presentations, the evaluation committee selected four outstanding projects that will represent North Macedonia at the European Science on Stage Festival 2026 in Klaipeda, Lithuania:
- "AI SpineCare" – Silvana Jakimovska Binova
- "Smart City" – Hasime Elezi
- "A Clean Water Source is a Precious Treasure" – Shqipe Hoxha Llonçari
- "Artificial Blood, Human Liver, Animal Organism from Recycled Materials, Iodine Clock, Aquatic Environment" – Ajtene Ademi & Merita Emini
These teachers and their students demonstrated exceptional creativity, scientific understanding, and pedagogical innovation. Their participation in the European festival will be an important opportunity for international exchange and collaboration.
Science on Stage North Macedonia expresses sincere gratitude to all participating teachers and students, the evaluation committee, and the hosting school for their valuable contribution and support. The festival once again highlighted the importance of empowering educators, promoting STEM curiosity, and nurturing innovation in classrooms throughout the country.
