Science on Stage at the European Education Summit

On the 30th of November, the sixth European Education Summit took place in Brussels, Belgium. The summit is the annual flagship event of the European Education Area (EEA) and brings together policy-makers from EU institutions and beyond as well as the European education and training communities. This year's summit was held under the motto "The European Education Area: A Reality for All" and included topics like 

• How can we improve the education and training sectors to the benefit of all?
• How are the EU countries planning to better invest in quality education and training?
• How can we ensure that people are equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in the green and digital transitions?

Stefanie Schlunk, chair of Science on Stage Europe, was present at the summit together with other representatives from the network to present Science on Stage and its activities and also to engage in dialogue with others. 

During the event, Stefanie had the chance to talk to Iliana Ivanova, the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth as well as to Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture and some European ministers of Education, like Giorgi Amilakhvari from Georgia.
