Science on Stage at the Physics Teachers' invention fair

Science on Stage Czechia had a place at this year’s 31st Physics Teachers’ Invention Fair, held in Hradec Králové from 28 to 30 August 2026, which was attended by approximately 120 teachers. As part of the presentation titled 'Science on Stage in Lithuania through the Eyes of the Czech Delegation', we introduced this year’s international festival in Klaipėda and presented several specific experiments. These included, for example, experiments with invisibility, polarisation, a drinking-straw cube, and a simple bow made from a wooden spatula and a drinking straw. The presentation also included information about the teaching materials offered by Science on Stage, both in English and in Czech translation.

Science on Stage was also featured in several other presentations in the programme. In her presentation 'Quantum Physics at Secondary School: International and Czech Perspectives', Zdeňka Koupilová discussed, among other things, materials for teaching quantum physics, while Michal Růžek mentioned the publication 'Money Matters', produced as part of Science on Stage, in his presentation on simple experiments involving friction. This year’s Ideas Fair therefore provided several opportunities to remind Czech teachers of what Science on Stage has to offer – from specific experiments and ready-to-use teaching materials to opportunities to share their own ideas and draw inspiration from the experience of colleagues from across Europe.
