#sons2024: Kazakh projects selected

The Science on Stage Kazakhstan's National Selection Event, took place on September 9th in Astana. This event was part of the larger Pro.NRG Festival 2023 — an annual family science gathering that brings together thousands of children, parents, educators, scientists, and members of the local community.

During the event, Science on Stage Kazakhstan had the privilege of showcasing 50 exceptional projects, selected from all corners of our country. These projects were presented at the National Selection Stage, where we had the honor of hosting an esteemed international jury. Our jury members, experienced science teachers and communicators, hailed from various countries, including France (Michael Gregory), Italy (Gordon Kennedy), Bulgaria (Nasko Stamenov), and Spain (Pol Landman). They played a pivotal role in selecting the top seven projects to represent us in Turku.

Science on Stage Kazakhstan is proud to announce the seven projects that were selected, including two by literature and history teachers:

1. Sadykova Saltanat - Eco-housing Yurt
2. Sarbasova Aruzhan & Zhumakhan Amirzhan - STEMStarters. Robotics for kids
3. Axyonova Inna - SMART WALL
4. Negmanova Kairpanu - Inclusive robotics through PBL - case-based learning
5. Omarkhanova Aizhan - Literature through science. Project “How to deal with the sands?”
6. Abisheva Sholpan - STEAM in Education. Our formula for inventiveness
7. Davydova Olga - History in STEM format
