The winners of the AI in STEM Challenge

On June 6, the AI Challenge, our Europe-wide competition for teachers and their students, came to completion with the final event in Berlin.
Ten teams from eight countries came to the capital to present their innovative AI projects to an international audience - from sustainability to accessibility.
A special highlight: we had the pleasure of welcoming Senator Franziska Giffey as our guest of honor. Her support is a strong sign of the relevance of education, technology and future competence.
During the event, a jury of experts took another look at all the projects and selected the three best. As a prize, the teachers of the winning teams received a trip to the next European Science on Stage Festival, and all students of the ten teams received a small surprise. The winning projects are:
1st place: "Intelligent Nose – AI for honeytype detecting" from Soest, Germany
A practice-oriented and environment-minded project from Archigymnasium Soest that proposes an AI-based solution to analysing honey samples with the aim of replacing cost-intensive lab testing. Have a look at the project video!
