Grants for Teacher Training Activities in STEM Education
Our member country Science on Stage Germany supports teachers in organizing workshops, seminars, and other teacher training activities. Financial grants are awarded for events focusing on selected STEM topics. For 2026, you can currently apply for funding in the following areas:
Artificial Intelligence (up to €500)
Engineering (up to €300)
Quantum Computing (up to €250)
General Conditions for All Grants
Who can apply?
Individual STEM teachers, as well as schools and school support associations from Science on Stage member countries, are eligible to apply for funding.
Requirements
- at least 15 participants
- target group: active STEM teachers or student teachers
What can be funded?
Eligible expenses include, for example:
- travel and accommodation costs for trainers or speakers
- catering costs (e.g. coffee breaks)
- materials for the event
Please note: fees for trainers or speakers cannot be covered.
Is there a deadline to apply?
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, subject to available funding, and should be submitted at least four weeks before the planned event.
Funding can be requested for events taking place up to and including December 2026.

Supported by the Amazon Future Engineer programme, Science on Stage Germany offers grants for teacher training activities in the field of AI literacy. These workshops and seminars may be used to share best practices and proven teaching projects involving AI in STEM education (see our materials on AI in STEM education) or to explore ways of integrating AI competencies into the curriculum and everyday classroom practice.
Funded activities should focus on methods and tools that strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.
Please note: This grant is currently only open to applicants in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.

As part of the international project “Engineering for our Life”, supported by the GEA Foundation, Science on Stage Germany offers grants for teacher training activities in the field of engineering education. The funded training activities aim to support teachers in:
- teaching engineering ways of thinking and working,
- fostering creative problem-solving, and
- integrating design and construction processes into the classroom.
