Course: Smart Cities and Sustainability – STEM for secondary teachers

Science on Stage Italy, together with Torino Politecnic, Torino University, Idis-Città della Scienza (Napoli), Foundation and Edison Energia (Torino), and Turin Municipality is offering the course "Smart Cities and Sustainability" for secondary STEM teachers. The course will allow the participants to deepen their knowledge and reflect on what smart cities are and what sustainability has to do with them. Some of the main objectives of the 30 hours course will be 

  • exploring the idea of  a SMART CITY and what sustainability has to do with it
  • investigating energy use, air pollution, and how to analyse air quality
  • discovering how to construct an extended trees network- IoT (Internet of Trees) to protect our forests
  • stimulating reflection on more sustainable productions, starting from both raw materials and recycled materials
  • and much more

Some parts of the course will be presented by teachers from the Science on Stage network. The course takes place between the 19th and 24th of February in Turin, Italy. To learn more, you can visit this website.
