Digital skills day for teachers in the Zemgale region
On March 13 Zemgale region human resource and the competence development center organized a digital skills day for Zemgale region teachers. During the event, primary and secondary school teachers had the possibility to improve their digital skills by using digital devices and technologies for curriculum planning and delivery. As it was a hybrid event the participants were not only from Jelgava but from all regions.
The participants could listen to the presentation by Fabian Klein from SmartClass by Robotel (Canada) on the formula for a successful lesson or how to keep students interested and engaged in the learning process.
Other themes on that day were devoted to using social networks and digital tools skillfully and responsibly in learning and everyday life, artificial intelligence, as well as how to create interactive and inclusive lessons using smart tools.
During the second part of the day participants were able to see products and technological solutions offered by education and IT companies, from pre-school to secondary school and investigate how to apply them in the classroom. A special offer was made for STEM teachers.
