A Festive Day of Science: the Serbian National Festival 2025

Report: Andrijana Vasić

The third Serbian national festival “Science on Stage” was held at the Secondary School of Information Technology in Belgrade, bringing together a large number of teachers, students, and guests from different parts of Serbia.

A total of 25 educators participated, presenting their projects, ideas, and innovative teaching practices. Their work showcased the richness of creativity and dedication to education in our country. In addition to the exhibitors, the festival attracted a large audience: around 120 visitors from various cities across Serbia attended the event. Additionally, about 80 colleagues, students, and children came to support their teachers and educators.

It is especially significant that the expert jury selected four representatives who will represent Serbia at the international festival in Lithuania. This opportunity allows our teachers to share their ideas on a European level.

The atmosphere throughout the day was festive, inspiring, and filled with positive energy. The program, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., included a series of presentations, workshops, and exchanges of experiences. Participants had the chance to learn from one another and inspire younger generations.

The host school, the Secondary School of Information Technology, once again demonstrated openness to innovation and modern approaches to education.
The organisation was flawless thanks to the great efforts of the school’s teachers and students. Visitors emphasised that the event was not only educational but also motivating for future work. Young people actively participated, and their curiosity was an additional source of inspiration for the exhibitors.

The festival also highlighted the importance of STEM education and its role in the future of young people. The presented projects covered topics in science, technology, ecology, and creative learning, and the exchange of experiences among participants gave a new dimension to the event. The festival proved how important cooperation between teachers is for the development of education.

This Science on Stage festival left a strong impression on all who attended. We believe that the inspiration from this event will contribute to further progress in teaching practices in our schools.

We look forward to future festivals and the success of our representatives in Lithuania!
