New ideas for STEM teachers in Georgia

1. Workshop

On Saturday, March 18, 2023, a workshop for science teachers was held at SALiS laboratory at Ilia State University, Tbilisi, Georgia. The workshop was led by teachers participating in the 2022 International Festival of Science on Stage in Prague: Nino Abesadze (physics and natural science teacher at Aia-Gess Gymnasium and Georgian-British School, Tbilisi), Ketevan Ediberidze (chemistry teacher at "Anabasis" School, Zestafoni), Inesa Bezhanova (Teacher of Physics and Natural Science at Georgian School, Tbilisi) and Marine Bagalishvili (Teacher of Biology and Natural Science at Public School No. 145 in Tbilisi). It was the second workshop in which they shared their experiences about the Prague International Festival with teachers and students of the teacher training program of Ilia State University. 20 in-service and pre-service teachers from different regions of Georgia attended the workshop.

2. Second information day about Science on Stage National Festival in Georgia

On Monday, March 20, 2023, the second information meeting was held via Zoom platform for the Georgian teachers. The meeting was organized by the national steering committee. About 40 teachers attended the meeting.
