Winning projects presented at seminar in Cyprus

On 4 December 2025, Nicosia, Cyprus, hosted the 18th edition of the Seminar on Teaching Natural Science in Education, organized by the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute. Around 100 science teachers attended this event, which aims to support the continuous professional development of educators through the presentation and exchange of modern teaching practices.

Experienced teachers presented applications and pedagogical approaches across Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, as well as interdisciplinary methods that enhance a holistic understanding of natural phenomena. A strong emphasis was placed on inquiry-based learning and scientific thinking, encouraging teachers to reflect on questions such as how students construct knowledge through observation and experimentation, how critical thinking and scientific argumentation are developed, and how science teaching can be meaningfully linked to contemporary social, environmental, and technological challenges.

As part of the event, the winning projects from the Science on Stage Cyprus 2025 competition were presented. These projects provided a dynamic platform for the exchange of innovative ideas and best practices, contributing to the dissemination of scientific and pedagogical knowledge and fostering the broader involvement of the educational community in future activities.
