Science on Stage Ireland at the EU Education Summit

Co-chair of Science on Stage Ireland, Paul Nugent, traveled to Brussels for the fifth Education Summit, organised by the European Commission on the first of December.
The Summit was held under the guiding idea 'Bright Young Minds', putting the youth of Europe and their education in the centre of discussion. The event was hosted by Mariya Gabriel, EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth as well as patron of the European Science on Stage festival in 2022.

Questions that were adressed and discussed in different sessions were, among others, how can the education sector be improved to the benefit of all, how can education and training be made more inclusive to allow everyone to reach their full potential as well as how can it be ensured that young people are equipped with the green and digital skills needed to thrive and innovate in a sustainable way?

Paul, who managed to make many new contacts for Science on Stage Europe, was satisfied with the event.
